For 30 years, the Junior League has put on a “toy sale” in our community for families who might not otherwise have holiday gifts for their children over the holidays. Throughout the year, we collect new or gently-used toys, bikes, play houses, games, puzzles, dolls, and books. On the first Saturday of December, families bring an invitation provided by local community agencies and go through the toy store with a personal shopper.
The 2020 Miracle on Main Street event will take place on December 5, 2020 at the Naylor Building (5950 NW 1st Street, Gainesville, Florida) directly across from the mall.

At a variety of levels, a local company can become a corporate sponsor. This sponsorship provides the funds to purchase toys, bikes, and other necessary goods and services for our event. Corporate sponsors will receive acknowledgment in all publicity, including but not limited to print advertising, social media posts, and event signage. Individual sponsors can also choose to sponsor a family, child, or big ticket item.

There are also items on the wishlist, such as, kitchen utensils and pans, that will help support our Action Against Hunger programs. These items are shipped directly to JLG!
The 2019 Miracle on Main Street was a success! A few notable facts:
- Approximately 2,700 toys were given to
- 615 children
- 82 packs of diapers were distributed, donated by ABC Diaper Bank
- Worked with 23 community partners
- Each family who attended also received a pantry bag as part of our Action Against Hunger initiative
