Miracle on Main Street
For over 20 years, the Junior League has put on a “toy sale” in our community for families who might not otherwise have holiday gifts for their children over the holidays. Throughout the year, we collect new or gently-used toys, bikes, play houses, games, puzzles, dolls and books. After the fall Friends of the Library book sale, we fill the Friends of the Library warehouse from front to back with all of these items. On the first Saturday of December, families bring a voucher provided by local community agencies and go through the warehouse with a personal shopper. In 2012, we provided holiday gifts for the children of over 500 families in the local community.
How can you help?
Please consider helping us by sponsoring a Sponsor-a-Bike for $50 buy clicking the "Support Us" tab on the homepage then select the MOMS Sponsor-a-Bike link. This purchase is a donation. You can also help by donating new or gently-used toys or bikes for the Miracle on Main Street event. Bring them by the Junior League office or Thrift Store any time during our open hours (Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday 10:00a.m. - 7:00p.m. or Saturday 9:00a.m. - 5:30p.m.).
